Hilde Borik

Hilde Borik (born January 28, 1908 in Vienna ; † March 24, 2007 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Borik represented the SPÖ from 1945 to 1946 in the Burgenland Landtag .

Borik graduated from compulsory school and worked as a tailor. From the 1920s she was a member of the Social Democratic Workers' Youth and worked in the Eisenstadt party secretariat until 1934 . From 1945 she participated in the development of the SPÖ women's organization and was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from December 13, 1945 to September 25, 1946. At that time she was the only female member of the state parliament in Burgenland, but had to move to Vienna for family reasons and left Burgenland state politics. Borik was buried at the Ober Sankt Veiter Friedhof in Vienna.
