Create

With a pioneering study in 1986, Bühler sparked the discussion about the evaluation of interpreting services by being the first to compile a list of 16 linguistic , semantic and extra- linguistic criteria that should be considered in the evaluation. She then asked 47 interpreters from the international association of interpreters, AIIC , to rate these factors in terms of their importance for the quality of the interpreting service. The case study served as the basis for further research and was later expanded by Ingrid Kurz .
