Hillmer Brandt

Hillmer Brandt (born July 30, 1935 in Eidinghausen , Minden district ; † November 30, 2017 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Hillmer Brandt attended elementary school and from 1950 did an apprenticeship at a savings bank . From 1953 he worked at the Stadtsparkasse Bad Oeynhausen and joined the SPD the following year. In 1959 he switched to the Bank für Gemeinwirtschaft in Berlin as a bank clerk , where he also attended the University Institute for Economics . In the Berlin election in 1963 , Brandt was elected to the district council in the Schöneberg district. From April 1971 to April 1979 he was an elected member of the Berlin House of Representatives via the Schöneberg SPD district list .
