Hiltorf

Hiltorf is a deserted area in the area of Coppenbrügge in the Hameln-Pyrmont district in Lower Saxony .

The village of Hiltorf was in the county of Spiegelberg on what is now Bundesstraße 1 between Bessingen and Coppenbrügge. The Bessinger field name Hiltorfer Feld still reminds of the place. Hiltorf was destroyed in the Spiegelberg feud with the Guelph dukes in 1434/35 and not rebuilt. According to tradition, surviving residents settled in Coppenbrügge. Even in the 16th century that drove parish in Bisperode the tithe of the 52  acre land one of the place at Bessinger and Coppenbrügger farmers.
