The Hindenburg was a motor lifeboat of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS).

The boat with steel body In was in 1925 by the Lindenau - Shipyard in Klaipeda built. It was the first DGzRS motor lifeboat with a twin screw drive.

Within the DGzRS, the boat was called "KR V".

The Hindenburg was stationed on the Borkum from 1926 until it was decommissioned in 1932 .
