Steering
As Hinlenkung is known in chess steering an enemy character (rare Bauer ) to a specific field, which is connected there with damage. Steering takes place by means of coercion such as the chess command or threat . Damage can be matt or material loss through the use of other combination motifs or the prevention of a function intended for the figure on its new stand for certain reasons.
A steering through sacrifice is a steering sacrifice . In doing so, an opposing figure is often directed to a certain space, on which it is then conquered, whereby the victim gains an advantage.
If it is executed in the articulated figure to the king, who is lured into a mating net, then one speaks of a Into Drawing victims .

This example shows the issue in connection with two double attacks . Black has just drawn 23.… Bc7 – a5 and attacked the knight on e1. The white king, on the other hand, threatens the black knight on c4.
Lasker moved 24. b2 – b4! This move directs the black bishop to the b4 square. After 24.… Ba5xb4 there followed 25. Ne1 – c2! Now both black pieces, Bb4 and Nc4, are hanging again. White wins a piece. Euwe gave up after a few more moves.

Choked Matt
