Hinnenburg
Hinnenburg was a municipality in what was then the Höxter district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1969 . Today Hinnenburg belongs to the town of Brakel in the Höxter district .
geography
The municipality of Hinnenburg, located north of the town center of Brakel, last covered an area of 14.4 km². The community, which had no village settlements, included the Hinnenburg Castle , the Albrock, Hainhausen and Schäferhof estates, the Emde glassworks and extensive forest areas.
history
Since the 19th century, the community of Hinnenburg belonged to the Brakel district in the Höxter district. The namesake for the community was Hinnenburg Castle. Hinnenburg was at times not seen as a full-fledged municipality, but only as an estate district . Hinnenburg was incorporated into the town of Brakel on January 1, 1970 through the law on the reorganization of the Höxter district .
