The house Hinter der Mauer 8 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the eastern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The house Hinter der Mauer 7 , which is also a listed building, borders on the south and Hinter der Mauer 9 on the north . On the opposite side of the street is the city wall belonging to the historic Quedlinburg city fortifications.
Architecture and history
The small two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1720 and is a testament to the housing situation of poorer sections of the population. The house is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. It was probably built together with the neighboring houses 6, 7 and 9.
