Hiroki Aratani ( Japanese 荒 谷 弘 樹 Aratani Hiroki ; born August 6, 1975 in Toyama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Aratani learned to play soccer on the school team at Toyama Daiichi High School . He signed his first contract with the Urawa Reds in 1994 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1998 he moved to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . In 1999 he moved to league rivals Omiya Ardija . In 2004 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 118 league games. In 2009 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo . For the club he completed 30 league games. In 2010 he moved to league competitor Ventforet Kofu . In 2010 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 11 league games. At the end of 2011 he ended his career as a football player.
