Hirschenhausen , until 1975 the seat of the independent municipality of the same name , is a parish village and part of the municipality of Jetzendorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .
history
The Catholic parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hirschenhausen was built in 1856. Hirschenhausen is one of the old parishes in the region. Hirschenhausen was associated with the Hofmark Jetzendorf from 1345 to 1848. The lords of Schloss Jetzendorf have been from the Keßling-Freyberg family since 1812. Hirschenhausen also came into the possession of the Freyberg at that time and was the official seat of the patrimonial court until 1848 .
Since 1818 Hirschenhausen became the seat of a rural community with the Bavarian municipal edict . On January 1, 1975, the previously independent community was incorporated into Jetzendorf. In the competition “ Our village should be more beautiful ”, the village won a gold medal in the 2008 district decision, and then silver in the district decision the following year.
