The Hirschhörnl , also known as Hirschhörndl , not to be confused with the Hirschhörnlkopf located 3.7 km to the northeast , is a small, mountainous and mostly wooded peninsula on the eastern shore of Lake Walchen . It is on the north by the Sachenbacher bay limited to the same hamlet Sachenbach opens the Sachenbach, and the south by the Pacific angle . The peninsula, like the entire eastern and southern shores of the Walchensee, belongs to the municipality of Jachenau . It protrudes about 410 meters into the lake, measures 160 meters wide at the narrowest and 250 meters at the widest point and tapers towards the sea with a rocky shore. Their area is 7.1 hectares . The summit reaches a height of 833 meters and is 32 meters above the lake level.
