The Hirschhörnlkopf , also called Hirschhörndlkopf, is a 1514 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Prealps northwest above Jachenau and 3.8 km east of the Jochberg . The part of the name -kopf , which is not always used for this mountain, prevents confusion with the mountainous Walchensee - Hirschhörnl peninsula 3.7 km further south-west.

The ascent is from Jachenau or Kochel . These are simple hikes on forest roads and climbs. The Hirschhörnlkopf is often climbed on foot even in winter because of its south-facing ascent. The transition over the Kotalm to the Jochberg and on to the Kesselberg or to the Benediktenwand and the Tutzinger hut is possible.
