The eastern summit at an altitude of 2,421 m is the border between the Spanish provinces of Aragón and Navarra and the French province of Béarn . The name of the mountain means "table of the three kings" in German . The three kings of these provinces are said to have met for deliberations at the eastern summit, as nobody up here had to leave their territory for the talks. The main peak only forms the border between the two Spanish provinces. The ridge between the main and eastern peaks is at an altitude of 2380 m .
