Hobbie Ridge is a massive mountain ridge in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It jumps out of the middle of the head end of Meander Glacier 8 km south of Mount Supernal .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after the American biologist John Eyres Hobbie (* 1935), who from 1962 to 1963 worked on the McMurdo station .
