University evaluation network

The University Evaluation Association Southwest (HESW) was founded on June 30, 2003 in Mainz . The association is an association of universities which, through their membership, express the endeavor to ensure and further develop high quality in research, study and teaching. The aim of the university evaluation network is to support quality development and quality assurance in the subjects, departments and institutions at the individual member universities.

Organization and work areas

The university evaluation network is organized as a registered association. The board of directors is elected by the members of the university evaluation network. Gerhard Muth, President of the HS Mainz, is currently the chairman. The management of the university evaluation network is carried out by the Center for Quality Assurance and Development at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . The work of the university evaluation network is shaped by four fields of work:

  • University evaluation

  • Educational research
  • Promotion of excellence in study and teaching
