Hockey is an American-Canadian new wave band from the North American Pacific coast (Portland / Oregon). The band consists of singer Benjamin Grubin, guitarist Brian White, bassist Jeremy Reynolds, drummer Anthony Stassi and keyboardist Ryan Dolliver. The sound of hockey is compared to bands like The Strokes or LCD Soundsystem .
Their debut album Mind Chaos was released in September 2009 , after which they played hockey as part of their European tour at the Glastonbury Festival in Great Britain and at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlange, Sweden .
Hockey was nominated in the "Best Push Artist" category for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 on November 5th in Berlin .
