Hofmark Aldersbach
The Hofmark Aldersbach was a Hofmark of the Aldersbach Monastery in Aldersbach , today a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau .
history
The Hofmark developed from the amalgamation of the administration of numerous grangia , which were donated to the monastery in the 12th century. In 1334 the monastery was granted the privilege of all its possessions and thus the status of Hofmark. In 1338 the monastery was given lower jurisdiction .
Under Abbot Wolfgang Marius , abbot from 1514 to 1544, the Bavarian Duke Ludwig tried to seize the monastery 's Hofmark. After it was confiscated and placed under the Vilshofen district court around 1533, after long negotiations the Hofmark returned to the monastery in 1538.
In the centuries that followed, the Aldersbach Monastery property was greatly expanded through acquisitions. The possessions were in Aldersbach, Gumperting , Karling, Sammerei, Weng and Wifling .
Through the secularization of 1802/03 , the Hofmark Aldersbach came under the administration of the Vilshofen regional court.
