Hog Hill (Scottish Borders)

The Hog Hill is a hill of mud Foothills . It lies on the western edge of the range of hills. Its 350 m high dome is in the Scottish Council Area Scottish Borders . There are two hills called Hog Hill in the Moorfoot Hills. The present hill is not to be confused with the northeastern Hog Hill in Midlothian .

About 1.2 kilometers west of the Hog Hills is the village of Eddleston on Eddleston Water , which marks the eastern edge of the Moorfoot Hills. The small town of Peebles is around six kilometers south.

Surroundings

Various streams run along its flanks and flow into Eddlesdton Water . The surrounding hills include the Cardon Law in the southeast, the Dundreich in the northeast and Bowbeat Hill to the east . Historically, the Baronate White Barony stretched east of the Hog Hills (the corresponding Black Barony begins at Eddleston Water and extends to the west).
