Hoggenheimer

Hoggenheimer is a simple game of chance with cards . Since the betting field is similar to that of roulette , the game is also called English roulette .

The rules

The course of a game

Hoggenheimer is played with 33 sheets of French cards , a joker is added to a package of 32 sheets .

Before the start of a game, the players place their bets on the tableau; this is a rectangular scheme with four rows of eight fields each corresponding to the 32 cards in the package without jokers. Each row is a color associated namely the first row applies to Pik , the second for Heart , the third for diamonds and the fourth for the cross or meeting . The columns correspond to the ranks: the first column is for the aces, the second for the kings, etc.

When the bets are made, the banker shuffles the cards, lets cut and places the first card on the corresponding space on the tableau, then the second, third, etc. However, as soon as the joker is served, the game ends and no more cards are played hung up.

Whoever has bet on an up card or on a group of cards that have all been turned up wins - otherwise the banker wins.
