The Hohe Wart is a 401.1 m high elevation about three kilometers north-northeast of Oberzella and marks the field boundary between the town of Vacha and Frauensee in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .
The mountain is part of the Frauensee forest and has been used for forestry for centuries. The field name Alte Wart is reminiscent of a medieval guard post in the vicinity of the city of Vacha and the Krayenburg .
