The Hohe Landsberg is 498 m above sea level. NHN the second highest mountain in the Steigerwald . It is located in the western part of the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia . The mountain is known for the Hohenlandsberg castle ruins .
Geographical location
Although the Hohe Landsberg is slightly lower than the neighboring Scheinberg , the mountain can be recognized from afar due to its height and the ruins. From the west side, the mountain looks quite striking. The mountain offers a good view of the surrounding vineyards.
Attractions
The Hohenlandsberg castle ruins are located on the mountain . The wall and wall remains are still clearly visible. The castle was destroyed in 1554.
