Holger Astrup

Holger Astrup (born May 7, 1948 in Flensburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1988 to 2009 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1968 at the old grammar school in Flensburg, Astrup did his military service and then from 1969 to 1972 studied at the Flensburg University of Education . He then worked as a teacher, initially at the elementary school in Norderstapel and since 1973 at the secondary school " Stapelholmschule " in Erfde .

Holger Astrup is married and has two children.

Political party

He has been a member of the SPD since 1972. From 1976 to 1990 he was a member of the district executive committee of the SPD Schleswig-Flensburg .

MP

Astrup has been a member of the municipal council of his place of residence, Erfde, since 1974 . In addition, from 1978 to 1990 he was a member of the district council of the Schleswig-Flensburg district.

From 1988 to 2009 Holger Astrup was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein . From 1992 to 1996 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and chairman of the finance committee. From 1996 to 2009 he was Parliamentary Managing Director of the SPD parliamentary group.

Holger Astrup entered the state parliament in 1996 and 2005 via the state list and otherwise always as a directly elected member of the constituency of Schleswig-West (1988) and Schleswig-South (1992 and 2000).
