Holger Sivertsen

Holger Sivertsen (born March 18, 1937 in Ilulissat ; † July 4, 2011 ) was a Greenlandic politician ( Atassut ).

Holger Sivertsen was the son of the skipper Edvard Sivertsen († 1967) and his wife Birithe Olsen. On September 27, 1959, he married Kathrine Zeeb (* 1940) from Saattut .

He attended the Efterskole in Aasiaat and the secondary school in Nuuk . From 1958 to 1962 he worked as a police officer in Aasiaat. He then worked for seven years as factory manager in Ilulissat.

Holger Sivertsen was a member of the Ilulissat Municipality Council from 1971 to 2001 , including Mayor from 1975 to 1983. In 1983 he was first elected to the Inatsisartut . In 1984 and 1987 he was re-elected, in 1991 he was no longer elected and thus left parliament.
