Holstein Shire
The Holsteiner Auenland - formerly known as "Green Middle Holstein" - is a term that has recently been coined for tourism and economic marketing, which refers to parts of the landscape in the south of Schleswig-Holstein (eastern district Steinburg , northern district Pinneberg , northwestern district Segeberg , including the Segeberger Heide ). It covers a region of around 800 square kilometers with around 92,000 inhabitants.
Surname
The name was chosen with a view to numerous floodplains (counting according to the independent names of these flowing waters (e.g. Bramau ) that run through the area) and is intended to refer to the assumed naturalness of the region in an effective advertising manner.
support
The regional development of the Holsteiner Auenland is supported by the cities of Bad Bramstedt , Kellinghusen and Barmstedt , the municipality of Hohenlockstedt and the offices of Kellinghusen-Land , Bad Bramstedt-Land , Kaltenkirchen-Land , Boostedt-Rickling , Rantzau and Hörnerkirchen . As a result of a rural structure and development analysis (LSE), the profile of the region is supplemented by other focal points (economy, education, etc.) beyond the topic of tourism.
society
The Holsteiner Auenland (eV) association, founded in December 2007, is applying for recognition as an active region and thus for funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) .
