The Holt Point is a headland on the Budd Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It forms the western branch of the Bailey Peninsula east of the Windmill Islands .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map them. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1963 after the photographer James R. Holt of the United States Navy , who had been part of the occupation at Wilkes Station in 1958.
