Holzbüttgen
Holzbüttgen is a district of Kaarst in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhine district of Neuss .
geography
Holzbüttgen is located directly on the southern edge of the Staker side of the main settlement core of Kaarst and is separated from it by a railway line, the north canal and the former B 7 . There are three bridges over the North Canal. To the east of Holzbüttgen is the Hüngert industrial park . Almost 6000 people live in Holzbüttgen.
history
In 1877 the Kaarst station was built in Holzbüttgen. The place was badly destroyed in the Second World War . Until December 31, 1974, Holzbüttgen belonged to the municipality of Büttgen . In the course of the Düsseldorf Act , this municipality and thus also Holzbüttgen became part of the large municipality of Kaarst , which received city rights with effect from January 1, 1981.

In Holzbüttgen there is the Catholic parish of Seven Sorrows of Mary and the Protestant parish in Kaarst .

The next motorway junction is "Holzbüttgen" on the A 57 . The next train stations are “Kaarst Mitte / Holzbüttgen” and “ Kaarster Bahnhof ” on the regional train S28 (Kaarster See - Mettmann). In addition, the bus routes 860, 8601 and 866, which connect all of Kaarst's districts, run in Holzbüttgen.
