The Hongqi HQ3 or Hongqi Shengshi is an upper middle class passenger car from the Chinese manufacturer Hongqi . The vehicle is either a replica or (as with other Hongqi models) a license production of the Toyota Crown .
The HQ3 is - in the tradition of earlier Hongqi models - one of the most expensive cars from a Chinese manufacturer, the car already costs 350,000 RMB in the basic version , just under 40,000 €, the 4.3-liter version is almost twice as expensive.
A 3.0-l V6 engine with 170 kW and a 4.3-l V8 with 206 kW are available as engines. The car is equipped with numerous extras that meet Western standards. Six airbags, xenon headlights with brightness sensors, a navigation system with DVD player, separate air conditioning systems for the front and rear seats, but also an integrated refrigerator come as standard. A night vision assistant is also available at an additional cost .
