In 1958 the CA72 appeared as a luxury vehicle, available as a Pullman sedan and convertible . Series production began in 1959 and continued into the 1960s.
In 1965 came the successor CA770 , which was manufactured until the 1980s.
In 1984 there were the prototypes CA750 and CA760 based on the Dodge 600 .
The Audi 100 C3 , which First Automotive Works assembled from 1986, formed the basis for the next series model from Hongqi. From 1989 the CA7225 is called LH. This model had an extended wheelbase . LR Fahrzeugbau was involved in the development. In 1993, the CA7221 sedan , the CA7221 L with a longer wheelbase and the CA1021 U3 as a pick-up were added. In the 1990s, depending on the displacement , there were then the designations CA7180, CA7200, CA7220, CA7240, CA7260 and CA7300. Six different vehicle lengths are mentioned. There were also open versions with the addition of EA2 with a short wheelbase and EL2A2 with a long wheelbase. Other sources name the series CA7220 from 1993. In September 2000 the revised Shijixing series appeared with the five-seat CA7202 E3, a 32 cm longer version with 4 + 2 seats, the CA7202 E3L and from 2003 the CA7242 E6 and CA7242 6L. CA7180 A2E Mingshi and CA7180 A2EL1 Mingshi have been handed down for the period from 2001 to 2004. The CA7180 A3E Mingshi was available from March 2004. Another source gives the construction period 1993-2007 for the Mingshi series and September 2000 to 2007 for the Shijixing series .
In 1993 the small car CA7080 was presented, which did not go into series production.
From 1998 the CA7460 based on a Lincoln was developed in collaboration with the Ford Motor Company . Other sources refer to this model as the CA7460 L3 Qijian. In 2000 the extended versions CA7460 L1 Qijian and CA7460 L2 Qijian added to the range. Another source gives the construction period from November 1998 to 2005.
The HQ3 based on the Toyota Crown Majesta was presented in 2005. It went into production in November 2006. Depending on the engine, the versions CA7300 N and CA7430 N are named. Another source gives the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2005 as the first presentation and also the start of series production in July 2006 and the HQ300 and HQ430 variants.
Also in 2005 the HQD was presented with a V12 engine . It should go into production in 2008. A more recent source states that the model was originally named EQD, then HQE, and was scheduled to start production in 2009. Another source cites the data from the Shanghai Show in April 2005, initially HQD and later HQE, planning for 2009 and a vehicle length of 6325 mm. However, no actual series production has been recorded.
The C304, a much smaller hatchback car, also appeared as a prototype in 2005. He didn't go into series.
The Sport Utility Vehicle E-HS3 was presented at Auto China in April 2018 . This is a fully electric vehicle with 114 kW (152 PS) output. It is 4490 mm long, 1874 mm wide and 1613 mm high.
Other models are H5 , H7 , H9 , HS5 , HS7 , E-HS9 and L5 .
