Dongfeng is a car brand from the People's Republic of China .
Brand history
The Group Dongfeng Motor Corporation in Wuhan used this brand since 1974 for trucks and since 1999 for passenger cars . Some of the manufacturers are Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor and Dongfeng Rongcheng Auto .

Dongfeng Motor Corporation has been manufacturing passenger cars in joint ventures with foreign partners since 1992 , but these were not initially marketed as Dongfeng.
At the Beijing Motor Show 1999, the EQ 7100 , EQ 7101 and EQ 7080 were presented as their own design. It was a small car with four doors, a large tailgate and five seats. The first two had an engine with 993 cm³ displacement and 52 hp , the latter 796 cm³ displacement and 40 hp. In December 2000 they went into series production, as did a notchback version .
The Tiejia in the style of a Hummer was presented in 2002 and produced from 2004 as a station wagon , convertible and pick-up . One source gives the manufacturer Dongfeng Off-Road Vehicle Corporation for this model .
Some sub- brands such as Fengdu, Fengguang, Fengshen (English name Aeolus) and Fengxing are used under the Dongfeng brand .
