Zhengzhou Shaolin Auto Works is a manufacturer of motor vehicles from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

The company from Zhengzhou started producing buses in 1983 . In the 1990s, it became part of the Nanjing Auto Industrial Group . At that time, around 5000 vehicles were produced annually, including some passenger cars . The brand name is Shaolin .

Passenger cars

Two minivans were on offer one after the other . The SLG 6320 existed from 1993 to 1996. It offered space for five people. With a wheelbase of 233 cm, the vehicle was 320 cm long, 165 cm wide and 159 cm high. The curb weight was given as 960 kg. There was a choice of a four-cylinder engine from Chongqing Jiangling Machinery Works with 797 cm³ displacement and 26 kW output and a three-cylinder engine with 993 cm³ displacement and 35 kW output.

The successor SLG 6350 appeared in 1997 and was called SLG 6351 in the following year . Despite the shorter wheelbase of 220 cm, the vehicle was slightly longer at 350 cm. Width and height were each 165 cm. It weighed 945 kg. A Jiangling engine with 970 cm³ displacement and 31.5 kW propelled the vehicles. The success in the market was low.
