Shenzhen Denza New Energy Automotive Co. Ltd. ( Original spelling Shenzhen DENZA New Energy Automotive Co. Ltd. ), previously Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co. Ltd. , is a manufacturer of automobiles from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

BYD Auto and Daimler AG founded the company in Shenzhen . Bloomberg LP names February 16, 2011 as the foundation date. In 2012 the first vehicle was presented. The brand name is Denza . Series production began in 2014.

The name was changed on November 7, 2016.

The Denza EV is at a wheelbase mm from 2880 4642 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,642 mm high. The curb weight is specified as 2090 kg. An electric motor with an output of 86 kW drives the vehicles. This model was available from 2014 to 2019.

The Denza X is an SUV based on the BYD Tang . It is available as both an electric car and a hybrid electric vehicle. The market launch was in January 2020.

Registration numbers in China

In 2014, 132 new cars of this brand were registered in China. In the following years there were 2888, 2287, 4685, 1974 and 2089.
