Beijing Zhonghua Automobile Industry Company was an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China . Other sources name the company names Beijing Zhonghua Automobile Manufacturing Corp , Zhonghua Auto Industrial Corp. , Zhonghua Automobile Industry Co. and China Motor Corporation .

Company history

Tang Jinsheng founded the Beijing- based company in 1994 . He continued the production of automobiles from his former company, Shenzhen City Zhonghua Auto Industry . The brand name was again Zhonghua . The company employed 1200 people. There was a collaboration with Xian Qinhuan Automobile from Xi'an . Production ended in 1999. In 2000 the liquidation followed . One source states that a total of around 4,000 vehicles were built. Another source names 3800 vehicles for 1997.

The company developed new models on the old basis. A tubular frame chassis a chassis made is plastic mounted. One model was the CHB 7090 A as a limousine with the CHS 5011 T as a taxi . There was also the CHB 604 TA . All models were also called Solomon and had a Xiali engine .

The CHB 6401 in the versions T , TA and TE and the CHB 6411 are also mentioned . They had the silhouette of a station wagon , but no tailgate. Reported is a small motor of Xiali with 993 cc displacement and two of Nissan cm³ of 1300 and 1600 cc.

Other models did not reach series production. These included minibuses , a vehicle in the style of the 1930s, a sedan called CHB 7090 B and the qcj 7090 with a four-cylinder engine from Nissan and a grille in the style of vehicles from Mercedes-Benz .
