Yuejin is a brand for motor vehicles from the People's Republic of China .

Brand history

Nanjing Auto Works was founded in Nanjing in 1947 . In 1958 the production of trucks began . They are sold under the brand name Yuejin . In 1995 the name was changed to Yuejin Motor (Group) Corporation . Between 2000 and 2005, passenger cars were also produced . The company has been part of the Nanjing Automobile Group since 2002 .

The first trucks from 1958 onwards were the NJ 130 .

In the 1970s, which were SUVs NJ 120 and NJ 220 for a license of the Beijing BJ212 manufactured. In 1985 the NJ 2041 D followed , which was renamed NJ 221 in 1989 , which was similar to the Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer . As a replacement, the NJ 2046 appeared in 2003 under a license from Iveco .

The first passenger car appeared in 2000 with the NJ 6470. It was a station wagon with seven seats. On the same basis, there was the NJ 1035 as a pick-up with five seats and the NJ 1030 also as a pick-up. In 2002, the NJ 1022 FES and NJ 1022 FER replaced the pick-ups. In the same year the station wagon was further developed into the NJ 6470 FET . As a replacement, the NJ 6471 FET Junda appeared in December 2003 . In 2004 the NJ 6471 FET-II Junda was added.
