Bestune is a car brand from the People's Republic of China .

China FAW Group introduced the Besturn brand in 2006. It is one of the Chinese "premium" brands such as Emgrand and Riich that emerged in the first decade of the 21st century , which want to compete with foreign brands on quality and not just on price.

There are always rumors about the future of Besturn. There has already been talk of incorporation into the FAW brand or the Hongqi brand . The name is considered unfortunate, as the English expression best urn ( best urn ) suggests an uncomfortable association.

At the end of 2018, the manufacturer decided to rename Besturn's English name to Bestune. This may only have happened for newly introduced models, because new registrations for the Besturn X80 have been handed down in China until May 2020. The Chinese name Benteng remained unchanged.
