The Bestune T33 is a compact SUV from the Bestune brand belonging to the Chinese motor vehicle manufacturer China FAW Group , which has been available since 2016 . Until the facelift in 2019, the vehicle was marketed as the Besturn X40 .

history

The five-seater was presented for the first time at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2016, shortly afterwards it was launched. The SUV is almost identical to the Senya R7 introduced in spring 2016 . Since September 2018, the vehicle has also been available with the X40 EV400 electric drive variant, which differs slightly in terms of its external dimensions.

The vehicle received an extensive facelift in June 2019 . In the course of this, as part of the change of the brand name in international use to Bestune, which began with the Bestune T77 , the designation of the vehicle was changed to Bestune T33. The vehicle was launched in the third quarter of 2019.

Technical specifications

When the car was launched, it was powered exclusively by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with intake manifold injection and a maximum output of 84 kW (114 hp). The electric drive variant, whose motor is a permanent magnet synchronous machine, has a maximum output of 140 kW. With the 52.5 kWh lithium-ion battery , FAW promises a range of up to 400 km.
