Anhui Anqing Auto Works was an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

The company was founded in 1991 in Anqing . In 1995 the production of buses began and in 1996 that of automobiles. The brand name was Andaer . Less than 3000 vehicles were built annually. Production ended in 2003 when the company went bankrupt .

Starting in 2006, investors from Taiwan planned to manufacture electric cars at the plant , but only a prototype was produced until the project was abandoned in 2010 .

The AAQ 6370 passenger car was in the range from 1996 to 2003. It was a minivan based on the Suzuki Alto . With a wheelbase of 230 cm, the vehicle was 375 cm long, 158 cm wide and 157 cm high. The curb weight was given as 950 kg. There was a choice of engines from Tianjin and Huaihai , each with a displacement of 993 cm³ and an output of 35 kW.

In 1999, on this basis, a vehicle with an electric motor was created , which remained a one-off.

The AAQ 6380 is also mentioned. With the same wheelbase, it was 385 cm long, 162 cm wide, 145 cm high and weighed 1050 kg. It was available with the Tianjin engine mentioned above as well as with an engine from Dong'an of the same size and strength .
