Jiangling Motors
Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. ( JMC , Chinese 江陵 汽車 股份有限公司 / 江铃 汽车 股份有限公司 , Pinyin jiānglíng qìchē gǔfènyǒuxiàngōngsī ) is a vehicle manufacturer based in Nanchang ( China ). The American manufacturer Ford currently has a 32% stake in Jiangling Motors. Another 41.03% belong to Jiangling Motors Holding , which, as a joint venture, is 50 percent owned by Jiangling Motors Company (Group) and Chongqing Changan Automobile Company .
history
The company was founded in 1993 and entered into a strategic partnership with Ford in 1995.
Models
The Ford Transit was one of the first vehicles produced from 1997 onwards , of which 7 million had been built by 2013. The Ford Everest (since 2014) and the Ford Tourneo are also produced.
With the SUV Jiangling Landwind , the manufacturer offered a vehicle in Europe for the first time in 2005, which however only delivered very low sales figures due to very poor crash test results. In the meantime, Landwind is Jiangling's own brand name, under which other models have been created that are also offered on various European markets.
Another brand of the manufacturer is Yu Sheng .
Jiangling Motors Group's 2010 sales revenue was 27 billion yuan (€ 3.4 billion).
For the further development of the company, Jiangling Motors Group is investing five billion yuan in a total of eleven projects in the Xiao Lan Economic Development Zone in Nanchang in the Chinese province of Jiangxi between 2011 and 2014 .
