GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co., Ltd. ( GAC FCA for short , formerly GAC Fiat Automobiles Co., Ltd. ) is an automobile manufacturer based in Changsha, China . It is a joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group and Fiat SpA

Before that, the company Nanjing Fiat Automobile produced Fiat vehicles in China from 1999 to 2006.

The company was founded on March 9, 2010 as GAC Fiat Automobiles Co., Ltd. founded. Both investors each took a 50 percent share.

Production at the plant should be 140,000 vehicles and 220,000 engines per year during the first phase. In the second phase, the annual production should then be increased to 250,000 to 300,000 vehicles.

Models

From 2012 to 2017 the Fiat Viaggio based on the Dodge Dart and (from 2013) its hatchback version Fiat Ottimo were only produced for the Chinese market. The Fiat Ottimo was a hatchback version of the Viaggio. The registration figures for vehicles of the Fiat brand in China end in 2019.

The Jeep Cherokee has been manufactured and sold by GAC FCA since 2015 . Other Jeep models produced are the Renegade (since 2016) and the Grand Commander, which has only been produced for China (since 2018).
