Jiangxi Huaxiang Fuqi Automobile Co. Ltd. , previously Fuqi Auto Works or Fuzhou Auto Works , was an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

The Fuzhou Auto Works company from Fuzhou was founded in 1969. Production of commercial vehicles began in the 1970s . Off-road vehicles followed in the 1980s . In 1989 a passenger car appeared . The brand name is Fuqi . Some vehicles were exported to the USA . From 2003 to 2004 there was a cooperation with Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Company . The name was then changed to Jiangxi Huaxiang Fuqi Automobile Co. Ltd. According to another source, Fuqi was part of Hebei Zhongxing Automobile between 2001 and 2004 before the Ningbo Huaxiang Group acquired the company.

The last saved version of the company's website with meaningful content is from 2008. After that, the company is lost.

vehicles

The all-terrain vehicles of the 1980s were modifications of the Beijing BJ212 .

The FQ 6400 appeared in 1989 . This car was available both as a four-door sedan and with a hatchback and a large tailgate. The bodies were made of plastic and resembled the Daihatsu Charade .

The FQ 6480 was introduced in 1999 and was similar to the Toyota Land Cruiser . Another source gives license production . The successor, the FQ 6500, followed in 2002, as did a model that resembled the Toyota Prado .
