Ciimo (Chinese Si Ming) was a car brand from the People's Republic of China for the Chinese market.

Brand history

Dongfeng Honda Automobile from Wuhan presented an automobile with the brand name Ciimo for the first time in 2011 . Series production began in April 2012. In the year 14,089 vehicles were sold. In 2013 there were 12,563 vehicles and 11,014 in the following year. Production ended in April 2015. In 2015 2354 vehicles were sold and in 2016 only 1176.

The only model was the 1.8 . It was based on the eighth generation Honda Civic (2005-2011) . The four-door sedan was 4530 mm long, 1755 mm wide and 1460 mm high with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. The curb weight was given as 1180 kg. The vehicles were powered by a four-cylinder in - line engine with 1799 cm³ displacement and 140 hp .

Sub-brand or brand?

Some sources see Ciimo only as a sub-brand below the Dongfeng or Dongfeng-Honda brand .

Internet information avoids the term sub brand , but writes Dongfeng Honda Ciimo.

Other sources refer to Ciimo as a brand. Sales in China were in Ciimo, not Dongfeng Ciimo.
