Leopaard is a car brand from the People's Republic of China .

Brand history

The Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group from Guangzhou took over GAC Changfeng Motor around 2012 . The original brand name Changfeng Liebao was used until at least the end of 2014, for models that are being phased out maybe until 2015.

The new Leopaard brand was launched at the end of 2014.

However, the brand's website names Hunan Leopaard Motors from Changsha as the manufacturer. This company draws on the history of the Changfeng Group .

In December 2014, the Leopaard Q6 off-road vehicle appeared on the Chinese market.

The Leopaard CS10 SUV followed in April 2015 .

The Leopaard CT7 pick-up was added in September 2016 .

In April 2017 the SUV Leopaard CS9 added to the range. This model is also available with an electric motor .

The Leopaard Mattu has been on sale since June 2018 .

Sales figures

In 2015, 45,027 vehicles of this brand were newly registered in China. In the following year the number doubled to 93,240. In 2017 there were 127,083 vehicles, in the following year 86,402 and in 2019 only 32,407.
