Company history
Friedrich Peter Lorenz and Heiner H. Rankl founded the company Lorenz & Rankl GmbH & Co. Fahrzeugbau KG in Wolfratshausen in 1984 and began with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Lorenz & Rankl . In 1988 the production of own models ended. The company is still active in the industry.
vehicles
The company produced two models under its own brand name. Both models were based on a tubular steel frame. The body was made of aluminum . The Cobra model was a replica of the AC Cobra . The Silberfalke model , also known as the Silver Falcon , was independent. Both were open two-seaters. A V8 engine from Daimler-Benz with a displacement of 5 liters and an output of 240 hp up to a displacement of 5.6 liters provided the drive.
In addition, closed vehicles were converted into convertibles , station wagons and extended limousines. The basis was, among other things, the Ferrari models 308 , 328 , 400 , 412 and 512 BB as well as the Mercedes-Benz 126 series .
