Auto-Wax was a German manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company from Berlin-Charlottenburg started producing automobiles in 1961. The brand name was Wax or Wax-Alfa . Production ended in 1962.
vehicles
The company made sports cars. The base was the floor pan of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta , which was shortened by 10 cm. A plastic body was mounted on top. The cars were offered in coupé and convertible body styles . Some vehicles were also used in car races, e.g. B. by Herbert Schultze and Wilhelm Heckel during a race on the AVUS .
The company also manufactured some plastic bodies based on Luigi Colani’s designs .
