Kohlmus was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Dieter Kohlmus, owner of the Munich company Kohlmus Kunststofftechnik KG , developed a prototype together with Rudolf Thurner. When the partners split up, Dieter Kohlmus redesigned the rear of the car and began producing automobiles in 1969. The brand name was Kohlmus . Production ended in 1973. Rudolf Thurner, on the other hand, revised the front of the prototype and marketed it as the Thurner RS .

vehicles

The only Scirocco model was a coupe with gullwing doors , similar to the Porsche 904 . The body was made of fiberglass . The technical basis came from NSU , often from NSU 1200 C . The new price for a complete vehicle was DM 12,500 . The vehicle was also available as a kit for DM 3,600.

In 1978 Dieter Kohlmus made a special Scirocco on a shortened chassis. This vehicle has also been preserved.
