The automotive Strohm KG was a German manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Werner Strohm founded the company in Laichingen on October 1st, 1988 . He was supported by his sons Bernd and Reiner as well as the master mechanic Erwin Veiel. It was registered under the commercial register number HRA 2469 at the Ulm District Court . The development of automobiles began, which led to the start of production in 1990. At times the company had 12 employees. The brand name was Strohm . Representations were located in Maulbronn , Rehau , Waltershausen and Kaiseraugst in Switzerland . In March 1994 the company exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show . Production ended in May 1995 after Werner Strohm fell ill. Automotive encyclopedias give the production period as 1991 to 1994 or 1992 to 1994, respectively. One source states that 29 vehicles were made. Another source estimates around 50 to 60 copies.

The company only made one model. Initially it was called Tornado Turbo , after a lawsuit in 1993 De Rella . The basis of the vehicle was a tubular steel frame developed in-house. The body was similar to the Lamborghini Countach . For driving the saw V6 engine the Renault Alpine with turbocharger , cm³ of 3000 from displacement 184 kW (250 hp ) developed. The maximum speed was specified with 240 km / h. The vehicle was 423 cm long, 205 cm wide and 108 cm high. The curb weight was 1430 kg.
