Claus-Dieter Weineck founded the company Weineck Motorenbau und Exklusivfahrzeuge in Bad Gandersheim in May 2000 and began producing automobiles. The brand name is Weineck . The company now operates under the name Weineck Cobra & Motorenbau UG and is managed by Nicole Keßler.

The company makes replicas of the AC Cobra . Originality doesn't matter. The drive is provided by Weineck self-made V8 engines with up to 13,000 cm³ displacement and up to 1350 hp . The body is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic and the cardan shaft is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic .
