The automotive engineering Walther GmbH was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Horst Walther founded the company in Bad Rappenau in 1979 and imported small cars . In 1983 the production of own automobiles began. The brand name was ATW . It is not known when production ended. In Bad Rappenau there is Mobil 2000 from Manfred Walther and Auto Thomas Walther GmbH from Thomas Walther, which deal with the sale and maintenance of small cars.

Initially on offer were the Amica , Bonny and Solea models , which were similar to the All Cars , and Charly , which were similar to the Jeanneau model from Microcar . Solea was a convertible . A built-in engine from Fichtel & Sachs with a displacement of 50 cm³ provided the drive . A four-stroke engine with 160 cc displacement was also available. At the end of the 1980s , the models Citta , Lisa , Lissy as well as Öko-Bonny and Öko-Lissy followed , which had an asynchronous motor and additional solar cells.
