The Friedrich Albrecht Fahrzeugfabrik , previously Friedrich Albrecht Fahrzeugbau , was a German manufacturer of wheelchairs and automobiles for the disabled .
Company history
The company was founded in Berlin in 1924 . In 1949 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Albrecht . In 1955 motor vehicle production ended after around 600 copies were made. It is not known when the company was dissolved.
Motor vehicles
The first model was the three-wheel scooter . The vehicle had three wheels; the single wheel was in front. A built -in engine from the ILO engine works usually provided the drive . Most of the customers were disabled.
In 1949 or 1953 a real microcar followed , again a tricycle with the single wheel in front. A Sachs engine with a displacement of 175 cc and 9 hp was mounted above the front wheel and drove the front wheel. The maximum speed was 65 km / h. In contrast to the three-wheel scooter, the vehicle looked like a real car, but at 3,150 DM it was too expensive to assert itself on the market. Only five or six copies were made.
