Kodiak was a German car brand.

Company history

The company Speed ​​& Sport GmbH from Stuttgart , headed by Mladen Mitrović, exhibited a sports car they had developed themselves at the 1983 International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main . Then the production began in small series. Production ended in 1985.

The only F1 model was a sports car. The coupé with gullwing doors was similar to the Mercedes-Benz C 111 . The body was made of plastic reinforced with aramid ("Kevlar") and carbon fibers. In the first vehicle, a V8 engine from Chevrolet with 5400 cm³ displacement and 348 hp (256 kW) power provided the drive. Other vehicles with the Chevrolet engine followed. Other examples were made with an engine from Daimler-Benz with a capacity of 6000 cc and 550 hp (405 kW). With this engine, the curb weight was specified as 1000 kg, and the acceleration from zero to 200 km / h in less than ten seconds. The vehicle was also available without an engine, so that the buyer could mount an engine of his choice.
