vehicles

Amigo

The first model was the Amigo , an open recreational vehicle in the style of a VW buggy , but based on a Fiat . The floor pan was made of sheet steel. The engine came from the Fiat 126 , at least in the later years . Production ran until around 1982. An Amigo took part in the 2000 km oldtimer rally through Germany in 2000 ; its year of construction was given in the program booklet as 1969. Another Amigo is in Auto Museum Engstingen in Engstingen issued.

Junior

At around the same time, the Junior model was available . The body corresponded to the Fiat 500 . The two-cylinder two - stroke engine from the Goggomobil with a displacement of 247 cm³ and an output of 13.6 hp provided the drive . These vehicles were bought by holders of the old class IV driving license .

250 L

The successor to the Junior was the 250 L , called Figo (Fiat / Goggomobil). In this model, the Goggomobil engine was installed in the more modern body of the Fiat 126 . At least in the 1986 model year, a small four-stroke engine with a displacement of 250 cc was also available. A 250 L is in the Inventor's Times car museum in Schramberg .

Junior 50

The last model, called Junior 50, was a miniature car with an independent body. An air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine from Fichtel & Sachs with a displacement of 50 cm³ and 4.5 hp provided the drive . The new price in the 1987 model year was 10,490 DM . Vehicles of this model can be viewed in the days of the inventor and in the Fritz B. Busch Automobile Museum in Wolfegg .

Concept vehicle Steinwinter 2040

As a freelance development engineer, Manfred G. Steinwinter dealt with optimizations in the commercial vehicle sector even before Steinwinter GmbH was founded. He submitted the first implementation plans to the trade office. Vehicle manufacturers in the south of Germany should take over supplies (steering, engine, transmission), while the vehicle should otherwise be manufactured in-house.

With this support and broad public funding, he created a completely new drive and steering module at the beginning of the 1980s, a carrier vehicle for universal use as a ready-to-drive, TÜV-approved heavy-duty commercial vehicle in its entirety with an attachment / trailer as an articulated train, heavy-duty tractor, semi-trailer and even as a bus. The patented 1: 1 prototype was presented on roads and at trade fairs in Europe and the USA.

According to its design, with the driver's cab moved downwards at the height of the chassis, the drive and steering module was given its nickname CAB UNDER , which allows the use of any motors and assemblies , such as B. common in the USA. The support surface that extends over the cabin creates a new loading and transport volume, which, depending on the type of use and freight, enables an economic increase of 20 to 50% (compared to conventional trucks).

Due to fears of weakening their own product portfolio, suppliers and support companies withdrew their commitment to cooperation. In this situation, the CCA Commercial Consultants and Administrators AG in Zurich stood behind the inventor and his vehicle development. In 1999 Manfred Steinwinter transferred the worldwide system and distribution rights to the business manager, who after the death of the author in 2018 will from now on advertise his processes and developments for targeted use in the logistics and transport sector.
